Factory Media Centre (FMC) is seeking submissions from media and experimental film artists for Spring/Summer monthly Window Exhibitions.
Deadline: May 3, 2021 | 11:59pm
FMC welcomes submissions by artists in all levels of their careers, and is prioritizing applicants from Hamilton, Ontario. Artwork will be featured online and via the rear projection screen in the FMC window space, which is visible from 6-10pm daily. We welcome submissions that merge materiality with media art or film. Consider how your installation will activate the James Street window before the projector illuminates the space in the evening. Please note that we recommend that works do not include audio or that audio is limited (since we cannot play audio loudly into the street).
FMC is committed to equity in all aspects of its operations. We encourage applications from Indigenous, Black, and racialized persons; newcomer and immigrant persons and refugees, Francophones, LGBTQI+ persons, women, persons with disabilities, and persons of all socio-economic walks of life.
