Are you currently an FMC member or interested in joining? Are you passionate about programming media art exhibitions and/or keen on media art technology? If so, we have two great opportunities for you! Currently, FMC is accepting applications from our membership to join our exciting programming and equipment committees. These roles are challenging, exciting and rewarding opportunities in which you will gain experience in media art programming and/or equipment, as well as, serve the artistic needs/events within the Hamilton region.
Programmers:
- Help to plan, organize and install monthly media art exhibitions and screenings.
- Contribute your ideas and programming experiences to help advance FMC’s mandate and expose the Hamilton region to a variety of media art events.
- This is a great opportunity to network at regular meetings with like-minded professionals, enthusiasts and artists at our monthly programming meetings.
Equipment Advisors:
- Help plan equipment purchases, maintain and repair equipment, and demonstrate proper use of FMC’s equipment to our members and the general public.
- Participate in our regular equipment showcases during art crawl. Meet other tech-savvy individuals and initiate those whom aspire to be tech-savvy in the proper use of media art equipment and the joy of using our tools to create artistic and documentary productions.
- This is a great opportunity for media artists, professionals in film/TV, and enthusiasts. You will network with like-minded people, find collaborators, and have your input into the future equipment acquisitions at FMC, which will greatly aid you in your own productions!
