CHRISTOPHER ROWLES

Chris will talk about his work with Snakehead Games, and how our society is turning everyone into gamers, whether we like it or not. Chris will be speaking on the nature of the gaming industry, its influence in other industries, and will be present two segments of SnakeHead Game’s documentary on Game Development.
With over 15 years’ experience in interactive Media, ranging from board and video games, online client access and live-action interactive training and entertainment.
Born and raised with the internet as a third parent, Chris has developed a symbiotic relationship with the internet over the years, aside from flights and forays into the deep woods, Chris hasn’t been offline since 2002.
High school was the real catalyst for Chris’s interest in interactive media, after being exposed to Macromedia Flash, Pen and Paper Roleplaying Games, and Live Action Roleplaying and Entertainment, for the first time Chris was given a professional tool set, and an audience to experiment with these three unique mediums.
After graduating from McMaster University in 2010 with a Bachelors of Geography, it wasn’t long before Chris wondered why he pursued a Bachelors of Geography, and enrolled in Tri-Os college for Video Game Design.
It wasn’t long before Chris was picked up by Hamilton developer; SnakeHead Games and was employed as their “Game Master”, a term which Chris was excited to have printed on his business card. In the time that he has worked with Snakehead, he has participated in the launching of their games: Gates of Camelot, Zombie Moon and Star Pirates: Chrome Plated.
Chris resides in Toronto, Ontario.
