Factory Media Centre was pleased to co-present Convos with Creatives with our January Artist In Residence, Minjung Hwangbo. On Friday January 31st at 7:30pm, the community joined us for a panel discussion about collaborating across disciplines featuring special guest creatives sharing their experiences and industry practices.
Speakers included:
AKIL MCKENZIE: Cinematographer/editor/director with having worked with clients such as Carlsberg, Lexus, Chanel, Red Bull, and many more.
MICHAEL BROWN: Creator of Soul House Live, a musical collective showcasing talent on digital platforms and live performance through events.
LESTER COLOMA: Award winning muralist and illustrator behind some of Hamilton’s most iconic murals such as the Supercrawl elephant on Cannon and James st, the RAISE on 1 West Ave, and many more.
JOSH TAYLOR: Choreographer and dancer. Owner of Hamilton’s Defining Movement dance studio.
KAT & CAM HAYDUK: Owners of turtlebox productions, a production company with a focus on kid’s media with works having been on Treehouse TV, CBC Kids and PBS Kids.
DAVID SCHUURMAN: Director/director of photography of features such as What Keeps You Alive (premiered at SXSW film festival), music videos for a wide variety of artists such as Scott Helman, The Reklaws, Keys N Krates, Chad Brownlee, and Johnny Reid.
