We’re excited to announce an artist talk from two of the artists in our AR Activations outdoor exhibition! Join us on Instagram Live for an artist talk by Gabriel Masewich and Uii Savage.
Gabriel and Uii will be discussing AR Activations, an exhibition featuring new augmented reality works by Quinn Hopkins, Gabriel Masewich, MEDIAH, SJ Okemow, Uii Savage, and Quentin VerCetty, situated at the front of our building at 366 Victoria Ave N. This collection reflects on the FMC’s move to its new home and the relationship we hold to the land, nature, and cosmos.
Masewich presents Entangled Gateway, a 3D artwork which uses an explosive physics animation loop to explore our entanglement to physics mysteries and the infinitely larger universe of space. Savage’s work, Celestial Passage, turns the Factory Media Centre into an observation site for viewing captured North American Aerospace Command (NORAD) satellite data while discussing the complexity and occupation of space politics.
