Presented by Nathan Fleet
The Staircase Theatre was ahead of its time when it became the first digital cinema to operate in Canada. At a time when all major festivals were rejecting the digital format, an LCD projector was installed in the intimate theatre on Dundurn Street North and indie film screenings were now accessible to all. Fast forward to 2012, we now have the Hamilton Film Festival, AGH World Film Festival, Hamilton 24 Film Festival (H24), Hamilton Music and Film Festival and several event screenings across the city. We will explore these festivals through their award winning films.
Selected films to be screened:
BEWARE PICKPOCKET (Michael Lacini, 21min – AGH World Film Festival BEST FILM)
SUBDIVISIONS (Stephen Strangways / Ron Kebic, 6min Hamilton Film Festival)
