It Came From Uranus (80min)

It Came from Uranus is an all-puppet feature-length film in the Ed Wood-era B-movie style. The script is riddled with deliberately clunky dialogue, 1950s slang, and a total of 41 carefully place pop culture references – everything from blatant references to Ed Wood and Justin Beiber to subtle references to Jaws and 1970s/1980s sitcom Diff’rent Strokes. It was produced by Poor Fishy Films, an independent film company co-founded by Ken Turner and Paul J. Boresky.

A business man alters his regular routine to unload his life’s problems on an unlikely person. Under the table was written, shot and edited all within 24 hours. This was an entry for the Hamilton 24 hour film festival 2012. The rules of the festival were to write, shoot and edit a 5 minute or less film that must include the following: Dialogue: “May the force be with you” Prop: Skipping rope Location: Under a table

The Store is a dark comedy about best friends Zak and Anthony, two losers who just want a little bit more out of life. All Anthony wants is a better job, and Zak just wants to move out of his mother’s basement. Zak figures he has the solution to all of their problems when he comes up with a plan to rob the convenience store where Anthony works. Anthony, on the other hand, thinks it’s just a bad idea. Now, they are both about to find out that a bad idea can always get worse.
