Waves of Fortitude is an abstract soundscape about my mind’s journey within navigating PTSD and the start of taking medication for my anxiety/panic disorder. This has led towards a need to take back control and strength in finding my sense of balance that was completely damaged.

Kuckeroo is happy (kind of blue) is one in a series of short films that feature creature(s) performing in a kind of blue space. In this particular video, Kuckeroo becomes enamored with the dangly parts of their body and joyously dances to both show them off and to celebrate them. The sound in this video is courtesy of Ryan Melmoth.

Lucille Kim, 2015, 7:08 | Video Art/Peformance
Opposites and the Same is a performance video constructing the state of conversation between me and my mother, and my struggle with Cambodian-Canadian inheritance or environmental influences. White tiles represent 330 Khmer words that I can remember, while hands suggest a body language and the hesitant or overwhelming exchanges within our relationship.

TRANSLATION
Shane Pennells, 2019, 2:42 | Drama
Translation was made as an entry to an online film contest held by Lacie Collective. The rules were the film had to use 12 of 22 provided lines and run exactly two minutes in length. Out of 220 entries from around the world, “Translation” placed 12th. The version presented here is an extended version.
THE MILLENNIUM TRAIL
Harold Sikkema, 2019, 4:23 | Algorithmic Art
Exploring Prince Edward County in 2019, the artist cycled along a section of the Millennium Trail near Wellington. The traversal, along with its staccato gritty-gravel acoustics, is here woven together with its own panoramic cross section, and further encapsulated in a rotating spiralized loop of the same. Camera shake is embraced, for the human wobble at which it hints: one hand on the wheel and the other on the camera. Formerly a branch line connecting Picton to Trenton and the Grand Trunk Railway, the Millennium Trail is described as “multi-use”. The artist wonders what other “uses” it may have.
WEST END LAND PARK FILM V.1
Sandra Lim, 2019, 3:00 | Documentary

PAS SEUL
Richard Purvis, 2012, 9:10 | Experimental
In 2008 I made a move to South Korea with the hope of earning enough to buy a camera and make a film of stills in homage to Chris Marker, my greatest inspiration at that time. Three years, 48,000 photos and several bad life choices later, I created ‘Pas Seul’ — a filmic poem about love and loss, set against my lived experience in South Korea. It is an attempt to capture the emotional rollercoaster of that part of my life and the catharsis of letting it all go.

Ryan Melmoth, 2019, 4:37 | Experimental
This is a mashup of a few segments of a video game I have been making, including videos that would play within the game. My audience is usually video game players and the queer furry fandom and I wanted to share my work in a new type of space.
